Whizzy Dizzy Lands Lingfield Success

Having shown plenty of promise as a two-year-old last season and continued progression on the all-weather over the winter, it was really pleasing to see Whizzy Dizzy get off the mark in the five-furlong handicap at Lingfield on Thursday (20th August).

Fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, the three-year-old broke well from a positive draw and was quickly into a prominent position, travelling comfortably on the rail in third as the field turned for home. With early leaders still having the advantage in the final furlongs, it was clear the filly still had some ground to make-up, but she responded gamely when Georgia Dobie asked her for more. Showing a willing attitude all the way to the line, she stayed on strongly to get her head in front where it mattered, holding on to win by a short head.

It was a thoroughly deserved first success and a performance that should give her plenty of confidence going forward. She has continued to show encouraging signs of progression, and we look forward to now seeing her build on this.
