Vultar Lands Success in Handicap at Kempton

Following his successful form from last year, four-year-old Vultar returned to the track from his winter break to land a terrific win in the London Mile Qualifier Handicap at Kempton on Thursday night (14th March). Stepping up in distance from 7f to a mile and defying the additional 4lbs from his last trip, he travelled superbly just off front runners in fourth and upped the tempo nicely when it came to the home straight.

With Richard Kingscote at the helm, the determined pair raced strongly into closing stages on the near side, making ground with every stride to outbid his rival by a short head in a photo finish. We were really delighted to see him back racing fit and well, and very pleased for his owner Adrian Butler. Vultar has always shown great promise, having consistently finished in the frame from his six career starts, so we hope to see this continue as we progress into the season.
