Two-Year-Old Debut Win from Heroism at Salisbury

Smart juvenile in the making, Heroism, got his first win in the bag on his debut outing last week at Salisbury (19th August). Ridden by jockey, John Fahy, the two-year-old was entered in the AJN Steelstock ‘Supporting UK Construction’ Irish EBF Restricted Novice Stakes over 6f which marked his first trip to the track. We were delighted to see him handle himself so professionally and bring home his first success for owner, Jason Goddard.

Breaking well and sitting comfortably on the outside, Heroism travelled smoothly before moving well into contention as they raced inside the final two furlongs. Passing the odds-on favourite, it was great to see the horse kick two lengths clear and cross the line with his head in front. We have taken our time with his racing introduction, but he is a very strong looking horse and it’s great to see his ability match up to this in such early days. He will come on a lot from this experience, and we look forward to seeing his potential flourish with further education.
