Sky Secret Breaks Maiden at Leicester

Following up on a pleasing debut over the same course and distance only two weeks before, we were delighted to see Sky Secret in the winner’s enclosure after breaking his maiden in emphatic style, with a start to finish lead over the five furlongs at Leicester on Saturday (9th May).

As you’d expect from any two-year-old in early career stages, he showed signs of greenness as he hung inside the final furlong, but Jack Nicholls did a fantastic job to keep him running on confidently, without losing any momentum, to win by two and a quarter lengths.

This colt is an exciting prospect, and great to already have him off the mark so early in the season. A very well done to his owners, Steven Barrow and Julie Deadman, on this smart debut success.
