Our First Two-Year-Old Winner of the Season

Following a very promising debut where he finished second first time out, Star Anthem returned to the track a well-fancied favourite and for very good reason as he smartly outpaced the field; storming home by four lengths under Richard Kingscote, in the 5f Maiden Stakes at Bath on Monday (7th May). A fantastic result for the Beechdown team as this marks our first two-year-old success this season and is the third time we have saddled a winner in this race in four years.

It's always an exciting time when you watch hopeful juveniles unfold their talent on the track during early career stages, but here we have a really promising colt who has set about his racing with a very willing attitude. Showing good strength and progression makes him a likely contender for Royal Ascot, with suitable five-furlong entries in the Windsor Castle or Norfolk Stakes. A very well done to his owning syndicate, The Stargazers, who have an exciting season with him ahead.
