Orthodox Scores on Salisbury Debut

Behaving impeccably and showing a really positive turn of foot over five furlongs, Orthodox made a very stylish debut at Salisbury on Thursday (14th May).

Breaking smartly under a ride from Rossa Ryan, he travelled behind the early leaders at a very steady pace which turned into a dash from three furlongs out. He quickened clear readily and pricked his ears in the closing stages showing signs of greenness but was never in doubt, with a pleasing success.

He is from a family that we know really well, out a sister to Heartache who we won the Queen Mary with. Heartache was out of Place In My Heart who we won the Listed Lansdown Stakes at Bath back in 2013. Hopefully he has a very bright future to enjoy with his owner Jason Goddard.
