Love Affairs Storms to Victory in Fillies’ Handicap at Goodwood

It was a very memorable day for the Beechdown team on Tuesday (6th September) as we cheered home a fantastic win from the two-year-old filly, Love Affairs, in the racing silks of Her Majesty The Queen.

Breaking evenly with the other runners, Love Affairs took an early lead under the hands of Adam Kirby over the six-furlong distance on soft ground. Having been placed in her previous maiden and novice races over this same trip, her progression promised a winning performance was in sight soon enough. It was extremely pleasing to see this all come together on the day, especially to see her stay on so strongly in the face of competition and quicken away when asked in the closing stages.

It was an immense privilege and honour to train this final winner for Queen Elizabeth II, and a result we will cherish very fondly.
