Langstone Maintains His Unbeaten Record

We were delighted to see Langstone continue his excellent start to the season with a second consecutive victory, following up his impressive debut success at Doncaster with another fantastic performance at Kempton on Thursday (30th April).
Partnered once again by Rob Hornby over seven furlongs on the all-weather, Langstone broke smartly and quickly secured a nice pace, travelling well on the heels of the early leader. Racing smoothly into contention, Rob began to shake him up with two furlongs from home, but after being carried wide from his rival he had much ground to make up and for a moment it looked too big a challenge to overcome. Digging deep, final strides saw him run on strongly to challenge and cross the line with an easy length and a half in hand.
Much like his debut victory, it was another eye-catching finish from this three-year-old, whose winning formula seems to come in the shape of a late surge – a sure sign that he is beginning to transform his size into incredible strength. Despite being a bigger horse and having taken some time to grow into himself, he is a powerhouse with an impressive turn of foot, and this latest success is further testament that he is continuing to mature and improve. A very well done to his owners, Teme Valley Racing and Aura Racing, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for this progressive young horse.
