Keep Kicking On Gets off the Mark in Handicap Debut

We were delighted to see Keep Kicking On get off the mark with a determined success on his Handicap debut at Windsor on Monday (20^th July), providing another pleasing two-year-old result for the Beechdown team.

Having shown plenty of potential in his earlier starts this season, the colt stepped into handicap company for the first time and produced a performance full of grit. Ridden by Rossa Ryan, he broke well and settled just behind the early pace, travelling comfortably throughout.

As the field entered the closing stages, he briefly looked short of room, but when a gap opened up, he responded willingly, showing a sharp turn of foot and a commendable attitude to thread his way through before staying on strongly to prevail by a neck.

This was a highly encouraging performance from a colt taking on a new challenge, and we were very pleased to see him gain a deserved first success after some assuring efforts. We look forward to building on this further as he continues to progress. A very well done to his owners, Paul and Clare Rooney, who celebrate this promising individual.
