Building on a strong start to the week on the all-weather, it was a pleasure to produce another winning two-year-old on the surface, as Dumuji made his career debut a winning one at Kempton on Wednesday (5th November).
Racing over seven furlongs in the Novice Stakes, he broke smartly and was quick to find himself in a prominent position just off the leader, tracking comfortably on the outside. Turning for home, he had plenty in the tank and with a confident ride from Rob Hornby he quickened nicely when asked, finding more under pressure and ran on strongly to the line to win with half a length in hand.
This was a very pleasing first effort from another promising two-year-old, who handled himself in a professional and mature manner and displayed a willing attitude throughout. He is still learning and developing physically but will come on further from this initial experience and we look forward to seeing more from this colt.
A very well done to his connections, Jacobs Holding and Aura Racing, and to the team at home for another encouraging juvenile success.
