The Beechdown team celebrated a thrilling win from Harry Three this weekend (10th June), watching him fly to victory in the Pavers Foundation Catherine Memorial Sprint Handicap over six furlongs at York. With Ryan Moore in the saddle, the three-year-old colt showcased his sprinting ability in a competitive race as he moved up on the stand-side rail from an unpromising position at the back, attacking through the field of eighteen runners. Gaining with every stride, he pushed through the final two furlongs with an impressive turn of foot to challenge front runners, before taking the lead with half a furlong from home and crossed the line comfortably with two and three quarter lengths clear. We were beyond pleased with his performance, particularly with Ryan giving him such a great ride, and it was a very exciting race to watch unfold for all connections. He is a talented young sprinter who is maturing all the time, and we hope to see better things from him when he steps up in grade.
