Castlerock Girl’s First Win in Nottingham Novice
We were thrilled to see Castlerock Girl record her first success on just the second time of asking on Wednesday (7th October), as the two-year-old came home in front to land the Novice Stakes at Nottingham by two and three-quarter lengths.
With an encouraging ride from Rossa Ryan, Castlerock Girl showed plenty of determination from the break, travelling well before finding another gear in the closing stages to put the race beyond doubt with a small turn of foot.
Having made an encouraging debut at Southwell last month, where she immediately showed herself to be a filly of promise, it was particularly pleasing to see her build positively on that experience and deliver such a professional performance here.
We look forward to seeing her continue to progress as she strengthens both mentally and physically and gains further experience on the track.
A very well done to Stephen Barrow and Simon Hope on this pleasing result and with this exciting young filly.
