We were delighted with Ascending’s winning performance in the Heycar Handicap at Goodwood on Friday 10th June. The three-year-old colt ran a determined race, with John Fahy on board the 2/1F carrying the purple and white colours of Mr Jason Goddard. Running over the mile-long distance, Ascending started the race breaking well in a field of eight runners held up behind a strong pace, before switching wide onto the straight where this saw him make up ground two furlongs from home. Battling on well, we were pleased to see him outrank the competition, crossing the line with a length clear. A great performance from him and we look forward to further progression with his next entry and step up in class.
