An All-Weather Debut Marked with Success for Souer de Flash
Having shown progressive form all season, we were delighted to welcome Souer de Flash’s first win, as she stepped onto the all-weather for the first time last week at Kempton (9th October).
In the hands of Billy Loughnane, the pair were well placed and travelled well on the heels of the early leader in a prominent third throughout most of the race. Ridden along in closing stages, she ran on gamely inside the final furlong and toughly challenged when asked for more. Although she still showed signs of greenness when her head was in front, Billy gave her plenty of confidence to keep travelling and win by a length. She is a fast-improving filly and will come on well from this experience as she continues to mature, both mentally and physically.
This was a really pleasing first success for this promising two-year-old, and a very well done to those involved from the Deauville Daze Partnership.
