A Wolverhampton Win for Iron Dome
It was a great result for Iron Dome on Monday (5th October), as the three-year-old landed his first success on the all-weather at Wolverhampton.
Breaking well from the stalls, he was smartly underway under Hector Crouch and quickly established a prominent, front-running position, which he maintained until turning for home. Asked to challenge in closing stages, he showed a determined turn of foot to chase down the leader and responded strongly when coming under pressure.
It was also his first start in headgear, making the performance particularly pleasing as he appeared to benefit from the addition, finding plenty in closing stages to run on strongly and secure the win.
This was his most polished performance to date and a promising step forward in his progression. We look forward to building on this confidence and seeing him continue to improve.
A very well done to Sheikh Sultan on this pleasing success.
