A Winning Debut for Boleto

Our winning streak continued at Pontefract on Tuesday (2nd June) with an impressive debut success from Boleto, a promising newcomer who showed a highly professional attitude on his first racecourse appearance for Middleham Park Racing.

Ridden by Callum Rodriguez over six furlongs, Boleto broke smartly and was settled just off the pace through the early stages. Travelling comfortably throughout, he remained well positioned before making his move as the field turned for home.

With less than two furlongs to run, Rodriguez angled the two-year-old into daylight and Boleto responded gamely. Running strongly along the standside rail, he showed plenty of determination to fend off his nearest challengers in second and third and secured victory by a neck.

It was a thoroughly pleasing debut from the colt, who showed signs of inexperience but also plenty of natural ability. With a pedigree that suggests there is much more to come as he gains experience, this could be the first step in what promises to be an exciting career.
