A Winning Comeback for Fast Track Harry

We were delighted to see Fast Track Harry return to action in such fine style last week, producing a determined performance to land the Sprint Trials Handicap at Lingfield on Friday (27th February), under an excellent ride from Rob Hornby.
Breaking smartly from a favourable draw, he quickly secured a lovely position on the rail just behind the early pace. Travelling strongly throughout, he moved into contention with purpose and, true to his name, showed a sharp turn of foot when it mattered most. In a competitive finish, he displayed admirable tenacity to fend off his challengers in the closing stages, staying on gamely to score by a neck.
This marked his first appearance on the all-weather and his return following a winter break. During his time away from the track, he was gelded - a decision that has clearly helped him strengthen and mature, as reflected in his work at home. Now a four-year-old, he looks to have progressed again and promises to be an exciting contender for the season ahead.
Congratulations to his owner, Jeff Smith, on a thoroughly pleasing comeback success. We look forward to seeing what his campaign holds with future entries this season.
