Saturday’s racing brought another excellent result as we celebrated a winning debut from Coppull, who showed real promise to get his head in front over five furlongs at Leicester in a competitive two-year-old maiden.

Breaking smartly from the stalls, he was quickly into stride with David Probert wasting no time in securing a prominent position running comfortably down the centre of the track. Always travelling well, he was last to come off the bridle before kicking clear of the field to take on a head-to-head challenge in the closing stages. Holding on in a tight finish, he secured the hard-fought victory by half a length.

This was a highly impressive debut from the colt, who showed great determination and composure in his first outing. He came into the race in excellent shape, with a mental and physical maturity, and it was rewarding to see that translate into such a strong performance on the track. We’re delighted to see him get off the mark for his owner and breeder, David Armstrong, and are excited to have our winning juvenile form continue.
