A Newbury Handicap Victory for Silver Sovereign

Having got her head in front at Haydock last time out, we were delighted to see Silver Sovereign follow up with another smart victory, this time over seven furlongs at Newbury on Friday (18th September) securing success on her handicap debut.

In the hands of Hector Crouch, she was nicely positioned on the outside and travelled well throughout. As the pace began to quicken, she responded gamely to the challenge, showing a good attitude to hit the front in the closing stages and cross the line a length and a quarter clear.

It was a particularly pleasing performance from this promising filly, who has established herself as a worthy competitor throughout the season and continues to strengthen and mature with every run. She is progressing nicely, and we will now look ahead to her future entries, with some consideration still being given to another run this year, alongside the exciting potential she holds for her three-year-old campaign.
