A Back-to-Back Success for Artic Tsar
Following a highly encouraging handicap success at Leicester earlier this month, Artic Tsar continued his winning momentum with an emphatic four and a half -length victory at Kempton on Wednesday (30th September).
Breaking well, Hector Crouch soon had the colt well positioned as one of the front runners, tracking the leader’s heels before turning for home. Travelling strongly throughout, the pair came through to challenge in the closing stages before quickening clear, putting distance between themselves and the field with every stride to secure an impressive winning performance.
Defying a 6lb penalty from his previous success, the two-year-old was also making his all-weather debut, making this occasion all the more pleasing. He showed plenty when placed under pressure and, having travelled so well over the seven-furlong trip, there is every indication that this distance suits him well - he will potentially get a mile as well.
A very well done to his owners at Valmont Racing on another impressive performance from this promising juvenile. We look forward to seeing him continue to progress and strengthen even more over the coming months.
